The software vendors have integrated their portfolio management and regulatory reporting products to help private fund advisers and commodity pool operators comply with regulatory reporting requirements
Software vendors Advent Software and Advise Technologies have integrated their portfolio management and regulatory reporting products to help users automate the reporting of Form PF and Form CPO-PQR.
Form PF and Form CPO-PQR require private fund advisers and commodity pool operators, respectively, to gather data from multiple sources, aggregate and normalize it before submitting it to regulators. The data required includes subscriptions and redemptions, counterparty credit exposure and geographical breakdowns of investments.
As part of the collaboration between the two companies, clients who use Advent’s Geneva and Syncova products for their portfolio management and accounting needs can feed data into Advise’s Consensus RMS regulatory and investor reporting system, straight from the sources. Consensus RMS aggregates and validates the data, before electronically submitting reports to the Private Fund Reporting Depository for Form PF and uploading the reports in XML format to EasyFile for Form CPO-PQR.
“Geneva and Syncova have the flexibility and technical capabilities to provide the data necessary to complete the reporting requirement, while Consensus provides the ability to automate the entire process and file the forms,” says Jeanette Turner, Advise’s New York-based managing director and general counsel. “The ability to combine these systems into one singular deployment creates a seamless workflow that automates the reporting requirement. It not only increases operational efficiency but also drastically decreases the margin for error.”
